Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you located?

Our hospital is located at 1011 Coffman St, Longmont, CO 80501, between 10th and 11th St. Our building is right behind Walgreens on Main Street.

What types of animals do you treat?

We work with dogs, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs.

What vaccines are recommended for my animal?

For canines, we recommend they receive the distemper-parvovirus vaccine and the rabies vaccine as their core vaccines. Non-core vaccines are recommended for your dog, depending on their exposure. We administer a Bordetella vaccine if they have any exposure to other dogs, and we recommend that the leptospirosis vaccine be given if they have any exposure to wildlife such as skunks, raccoons, etc. (even exposure on walks in the neighborhood is enough to get the non-core vaccines).

For felines, we recommend the core vaccines of rabies and feline distemper. The non-core vaccine, known as the feline leukemia vaccine, is only recommended to outdoor cats and to any kitten (regardless of exposure) when they are getting their first set of vaccines. The vaccine is to protect against the feline leukemia virus, which they can get from other cats. The virus is transmitted through bite wounds, grooming, scratches, blood, etc., which is why all outdoor cats should receive this vaccination.
