FAVN Rabies Titer Testing (When Required)

Some destinations—especially international locations and Hawaii—require a rabies antibody (FAVN) test.

  • Confirms your pet has adequate rabies immunity
  • Must be performed by an approved laboratory
  • Blood sample collected 30+ days after rabies vaccination
  • Results may take up to 8 weeks
  • Many destinations require a waiting period (up to 180 days) before entry

Important: This is not a replacement for a health certificate—both are typically required.
